Screen 7 - About Us

about us
Along came the internet

The company's first venture was developing QBasic adventure games. Inspired by adventure classics including Day of the Tentacle, Fate of Atlantis, Little Big Adventure & Beneath A Steel Sky - our company developed an adventure game engine in QBasic and worked on Broken Glass.

Before its release in 2000 we were introduced to the internet & learnt of Chris Jones' superb free engine - AGS. From there - our adventure games moved from DOS and onto WINDOWS. Renowned for catchy music in QBasic games - Screen 7 went on to produce MIDI music for freeware adventure games including The Adventures Of Fatman, Larry Vales & Rob Blanc.

The company worked on hundreds of tunes for adventure games and started developing several point & click adventures. However, not very many of these were finished as they were being made in free time & not for profit. Over the last few years the company has made some significant releases and is now concentrating on the mammoth-sized free game, Fountain of Youth.

Since the late 90's, we had also taken an interest in film-making, and now beleive this will be the companies strong point for many years to come. In 2005, bigphat films was born and is set to produce fiction & non-fiction productions for all audiences. We hope to make great entertaining films!
